The ESD single shear dowel transmits forces where construction joints experience small loads – such as those between balcony slabs, roadway slabs and cantilever retaining walls.

The SLD heavy-duty dowel, which has very high load-bearing capabilities for structurally critical demands such as floor slabs. The SLD is approved according to EC2 in Germany and Poland. Concrete Innovation & Design (CID) in the UK have confirmed that the design of the Schöck Isokorb range of heavy duty dowels SLD and SLD Q comply with the requirements of BS EN 1992-1-1:2004 and BS EN 1994-1-1:2004 together with their UK National Annexes.

In both cases Schöck dowels offer extremely cost-effective solutions when compared with traditional labour-intensive methods and the various applications can be calculated using the free Schöck design software.

All units are made of high grade stainless steel, so there is no danger of corrosion. The load bearing capacity is guaranteed at all times and with the addition of a fire protection plate, a fire protection class F90 is achievable.
