"Fields + Tactics: A Symposium on the Future of Architectural Praxis in our Twenty-First Century" on Wednesday, 2nd May 2012 at the Nottingham Contemporary gallery.
We support the intention to examine the future of architectural practice and applied research, as there are now unprecedented technologies and production techniques for simulating, generating form, communicating ideas and realising designs; and yet, with the near collapse of the global finance industries, new challenges and opportunities are faced by Clients, Architects and Engineers. This event has therefore been designed to be of interest for practising architects and students of architecture alike. The symposium has been structured around the following three thematic sessions:
- Prototyping Performative Architecture
- Sustaining Urban Life
- Practice-Research Synergies
